1 /5 Rupa m: Very bad experience, we joined our son into SEND classes and they (Ms. carolynn quinlan, she was so friendly) mentioned the carer/ parent can go along with him as he is in care plan, but after taking the membership, the reception staff every time they denied access and taking price separately for carer, this is so bad and on the day of registering the reception staff did mentioned that carer can’t go whenever child attend the leisure centre along with him as per his needs, this is misleading to get the new membership and robbing after taking membership. My son is having Disabled badge from West Sussex council however the staff are rude and following us in the swimming premises And also we have experienced racism, the treatment is bad to us as Asians, only if we have fair skin, we can be treated same there from the reception. The swim instructors are very friendly but the reception is very rude and not helpful at all. There are good leisure centres in Chichester, we would have choose either Westergate leisure centre or Nuffield leisure in Chichester instead of Arun leisure in Bognor. Management should not encourage this kind of false promotion and taking price for the carer for every visit. What’s the point of SEND lessons and care plan for the special child.. given one star only for the good swim instructors, horrible reception with lots of racism.
If carer can’t go along with the special child what’s the point !!? Every other leisure centre is genuine with their system around this area, except this Arun leisure.
I would like to raise a formal complaint to all the portals and legally for our rights as well for the racism we have faced and the ill treatment of the staff of this particular premises, if the management won’t respond., don’t judge with colour of the Asians which is truly disgraceful.
