4 /5 Alex Higgs: Joined as an ex Nuffield member September 2025. I was overall delighted with my experience so far. Easy sign up online, great reception staff. I was served by a welcoming Mateusz who explained rules and policies. Biometric access means I never need to lose any membership cards.
I am a fan of "put your weights back" mantra and as a result gym space is very tidy.
I been to most chains in London.Fantastic training inventory and gym equipment, every single muscle group can be safely trained via latest kit from big brands like Prime, Primal and HammerStrength, along with old school Nautilus gear. You name it Ultraflex most likely has it. Nothing too fancy or pointless, this isnt Third Space which is only a plus for me. Members are respectful, regulars who are there to train, the vibe is definitely - "where do I sign up, I want to stat building some muscles"
Since I cycle here ready dressed, off-peak during weekdays morning/lunchtimes my gripes are minor and are mostly to do with the gym not being a fully finished venue as I write this review. Your mileage may vary if you visit peak times or weekends for which I cannot comment.
Gripes thus far: Toilet availability, changing room and shower fit out, ongoing refurbishment. PureGym opening nearby will provide some competition and I hope that management will resolve current issues quicker with that in mind.
Overall, I am very happy with my experience thus far, for the price which is definitely far from budget, the gym is still excellent value if you value minimalist/hardcore training vibe without space wasting useless bells and whistles.
