1 /5 Azriel Buckley: Went in less than two full days ago for Gel X extensions and gel, and one of the nails has already come off. I’m very careful with my nails but even if I wasn’t, a nail coming off 40 hours after it was put on is very disappointing. Seems to be an issue with the extension bonding to the “glue” because when it came off, all of the bonding agent was left on my nail and the top was smooth.
Additionally on many of the nails the layer of bonding agent is quite thick, not sure if this affects longevity.
The actual service was fine, nail art was done well but I hadn’t seen an option to add french tips/nail art when booking so the extra £12 charge was a surprise but understandable. Pictures of lifting below and you can see the line of difference where it is connected versus disconnected, I’ve since glued the nail back on but just overall disappointed.
Edit: By Thursday (4 days after appt) two more nails have come off, same way. You can see in the photo the bonding agent completely off the extension and left on my nail, and the smoothness.
