1 /5 shri nani: I had a very disappointing experience at this gym today. I entered around 16:30 using the scanner (I don’t remember my PIN). When I finished my workout, I couldn’t exit because the Gym Group system was down and my PIN wouldn’t work. I asked one of the staff for help, but he was completely unhelpful and showed no concern. He told me to use the self check-in machine, even though I had already explained that it wasn’t working due to the server issue. Eventually, he used his own PIN to let me out.
After leaving, I realised I had left my jacket inside — which also had my house keys. I found my PIN in an old welcome email and tried to re-enter, but the system still wouldn’t let me in. I pressed the assistance button, and the same staff member, who was just sitting with a tablet, looked annoyed when he saw me and acted like he was doing me a favour by opening the door.
This is completely unacceptable. I pay £35 a month and expect at least basic customer service when the system fails. The staff should be trained on how to handle situations like this with respect and professionalism. It’s frustrating and embarrassing to be treated this way just for asking for help.
