5 /5 Verity Fuller: Semtex is an amazing Muay Thai gym. As a female joining a male dominated sport can be so daunting, but I felt welcome at Semtex from day one. Never did I think I’d be fighting at interclubs but Steve and Damo have given me such confidence and I love fighting now. Would recommend to anyone looking at doing a martial art, whether it’s just for fitness, learning a new skill or to get into the fight scene. Could not be prouder to be part of the Semtex family.

I lost over 3 stone within the first year of training. Now Im probably in the best shape of my life at 39. Everyone in the team is super friendly and supportive. From beginners to high-level fighters, everyone pushes each other to get better. You really feel like part of a family in this team. The support for each other at shows and events is unmatched. If you are looking to get fit, step in the ring, or just enjoy Muay Thai. I could not recommend Semtex highly enough.

The sense of community is unmatched, you get a sense of belonging within the team. The coaches Steve and Damien have a passion for muay thai/ teaching and their students and that is evident. Whether you are looking to get fit, one day hop in that ring or create friendships that will stick with your even outside of the gym. Semtex is where it’s at.
