PureGym London Hoxton - (Near Tower Hamlets, UK)

Bushra Chowdhury So I wrote a review a while ago and couldn’t write a new one. Here’s an update about 6 months later how this gym is doing, and I have quite a few things. So, they had undergone a maintenance and you can definitely see a change in certain aspects: -They did upgrade the benches there are only a few still with some wear and tear. -The lockers have been changed. -They’ve brought in new equipment mainly different leg machine workouts. Aside from that, despite the maintenance and renovation, there are still the following things to improve: -The dumbbell racks still have no number labels on them which would help with maintaining a tidy gym, so that people can leave the dumbbells in pairs to make it easier to find, rather than it feel like a scavenger hunt. They’re just left lying all over the place, people don’t seem to still tidy up after themselves. - The weight plates are also left scattered and also haven’t been replaced, still signs of wear and tear, with some barely having any rubber on them. Also feels like there isn’t much plates for people to use despite how busy it gets. Maybe a plate rack would be handy. - The female changing rooms have a slight unpleasant smell and would also recommend regular cleaning. I’ve given it a two star compared to the previous one star review, because it could still be better quality if regular maintenance or cleaning by gym staff was done and if people were considerate to tidy up after themselves. One again, a gym that does the job but you can get better what you pay for elsewhere.

Carlos I can not believe London has never had this. What a gem of a space. All the equipment you need to do your session. Private no hassle. The team are amazing and the app super easy to use. If you want to experience the next level of gym experience go to Elysium. Plus there expanding their locations. Will definitely be back

Andrew Hoy OLD REVIEW: More a storage centre for broken exercise equipment than a gym at the minute. 2 out of 3 stairmasters are broken, 7 out of maybe 9 treadmills are broken, and about half the cross-trainers are broken (depending on the day). EDIT JULY 2025: Most of the broken equipment has been fixed, things definitely getting better! Hopefully able to upgrade to 4 stars by the end of the year.

Angelina Phillips I love this gym, the staff are very friendly and the location is great. They’ve recently added new kit which is great. I would definitely recommend.

I absolutely enjoyed the course very much, it’s easy to navigate the online study system and the best part has been the help I get. With regular support and communication from expect tutors and assessors. No question is too big and the response is very fast. Would absolutely recommend.
