1 /5 Katelyn cooper: This was the worst nail salon experience I’ve ever had. The manicurist worked so roughly that I was literally shouting and jumping from the pain. It was obvious they were not professionally trained and could not even communicate in English, making the service unsafe and distressing.
Beforehand, I asked the receptionist how much nail removal would cost and even showed my nails to confirm. Despite this, when it came time to pay, they changed the price without warning. This is misleading and unfair trading, which is unlawful under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.
On top of that, neither the manicurist nor the receptionist offered any apology for the pain or the intimidation I felt. Instead, I was left terrified, disrespected, and pressured to pay more than I had agreed to.
This salon should not be allowed to operate because they are:
Endangering public health and safety by letting unqualified and possibly unlicensed staff carry out nail services.
Breaching consumer rights by changing the agreed price (a violation of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and unfair trading regulations).
Failing duty of care by causing physical harm and emotional distress.
I will be reporting this salon to Trading Standards, the local council licensing authority, and Environmental Health. I expect a full refund immediately, and I strongly warn others to avoid this place until they are investigated and held accountable.
