2 /5 Angel: I’ve been a loyal customer for a long time and always come in for BIAB. Recently, I started questioning whether I was actually receiving BIAB because my nails just didn’t look or feel like they normally should.
I asked about it twice, as I noticed they were only applying colour with no proper BIAB base layer (the thicker building gel normally applied before colour). Both times I was told, “It’s BIAB colour, you don’t need the base.” That didn’t sit right with me, but I trusted them because they’re the professionals.
However, my nails started peeling off shortly after, and when I went back to get them fixed, they suddenly used the pink BIAB layer before the colour. When I pointed out that this wasn’t done on my other nails, I was again told, “You have BIAB colour.” It felt like I was just being dismissed instead of listened to.
To be sure, I went to a completely different nail salon and asked for a BIAB infill. They immediately said I did not have BIAB on my nails except for one nail. That confirmed everything I had suspected. I’ve been paying £37 for BIAB when in reality, I was just getting regular gel.
At this point it feels like I was being overcharged and fobbed off, and that’s really disappointing after being such a loyal customer. I won’t be returning.
