1 /5 Jenna: Ive never felt compelled to leave a negative review before, as I understand how detrimental it can be to someones business. However, I feel its important to share my experience to help others avoid the distress I faced.
I visited this salon for microblading, having had the procedure done successfully elsewhere in the past. As someone with alopecia, my eyebrows are very sparse, and I was feeling insecure about my appearance. After some time, I decided to get them microbladed again and found this salon. I met with Humeira, who assured me she could perform the treatment. However, when she revealed the results, my heart sank. My eyebrows looked like thick orange crayon lines, entirely unappealing.
Humeira seemed to sense my disappointment and reacted defensively, claiming that I had requested "lines" instead of a natural look, which is what I expected from microblading. She suggested that the appearance would improve in 2-3 weeks, and I held on to hope that perhaps her technique was different. However, I was devastated at the thought of having to live with those eyebrows permanently.
As I left the salon, I fought back tears, feeling embarrassed to walk in public like that. I confided in my partner, who tried to comfort me and researched options. That night, I struggled to sleep, and the next day I sought a professional who specializes in microblading for a second opinion. Upon seeing the pictures, she was shocked and advised that I needed to have the work removed as soon as possible.
This news sent me into a panic, as I learned that I would need to wait at least four weeks for the removal process, which would involve several painful sessions costing around £100 each. I contacted Humeira to discuss the situation and requested a full refund. She initially offered half, which I felt was insufficient. When I returned with my partner to insist on a full refund, Humeira was rude and dismissive, insisting that the results would improve. I informed her of the advice I received from other professionals, but she merely wished me luck and seemed unconcerned about the distress her work caused.
It’s hard to believe that someone can perform such permanent work on a person’s face without having the necessary skills. I hope my experience serves as a cautionary tale for anyone considering microblading at this salon. While Humeira may excel in other services like waxing or eyelashes, she lacks the expertise required for microblading and should not be offering this service to anyone.
Ive attached the photos just after the procedure and a current photo of my eyebrows, which remain a mess even 4 weeks later.
