1 /5 T: I recently visited this nail salon and was deeply disappointed by their hygiene and service.
Technicians did not wear gloves and even used their own nails to adjust my polish.
The gel polish chipped within days, and improper use of an electric drill left divots in my nail plate.
I cannot recommend this salon due to these concerning practices. (Photo attached: 10 days after application and the damage after removal.)
Update: After my review, the salon responded defensively rather than addressing the concerns constructively.
Admitting that gloves aren’t worn because "other salons don’t either" is not an excuse—hygiene should be a priority to prevent cross-contamination.
Blaming the customer for chipped polish is unprofessional; proper nail prep and sealing techniques should ensure long-lasting results.
Using their own nails as a tool is unsanitary and against standard industry practices.
The most serious issue: aggressive electric file use caused damage to my natural nails. An e-file should never be used this harshly on natural nails.
Rather than deflecting criticism, I suggest investing in better training for technicians to improve hygiene, technique, and customer care.
