1 /5 Leah Space: Shop Owner was extremely rude and dismissive of my concerns I raised about hair quality. I purchased a synthetic wig after speaking to a shop assistant who assured me the wig could take up to 200degree straightening heat.
After 3 days of brushing the wig it started to shed massively, so I was careful to not add any product or heat. Unfortunately I was only able to go back to the shop to raise the issue two weeks later, and I was immediately blamed for the problem. The owner proceeded to assume that I was inexperienced with wig quality and maintenance (which is inaccurate as I have been doing hair for over a decade) and smelled the wig stating I “must have sprayed it with some product”.
After comparing 2 other wigs to mine and us going back and forth I said this was clearly a manufacturing issue and didn’t expect a refund however he continued to blame me and say I needed to contact Sleek and raise the issue with them, however they have been in business for over 30years….
I said this is a cultural issue as he continued to interrupt me and speak over me and that he does not respect women, to which he replied that I was “racist” and an “idiot” and needed to “get out” of his shop. So I said have a blessed day and left disappointed.
I have learned a great lesson today on customer satisfaction and service.
