There is such a negative energy, a spirit of anger in Ify’s Hair Salon and I rebuke it in Jesus name. As a one time visitor, I feel like being there really disturbed my peace. Generally I find getting my hair done a therapeutic experience, it’s my time to relax, unwind and look forward to making myself look good and feel good but I felt uneasy and after I left, I just felt angry and deflated.
The staff, including the owner Ify, were confrontational and unprofessional. Ify initially appeared welcoming, but her demeanor sharply changed when I expressed dissatisfaction with my hairstyle, showing an inability to handle constructive criticism graciously.
The salon environment itself was chaotic, with many non-customers frequently coming and going, consuming food and lounging around. The cleanliness of the place was also lacking, with floors that clearly needed cleaning. The staff’s lack of professionalism extended to their personal hygiene and decorum; some seemed to have skipped having a shower before work, the smell was incredibly bad and sadly I discovered this because none of them actually practice personal space, constantly hovering over you and around you.
Overall, it felt like the staff was primarily focused on the money, showing little concern for the quality of their hairstyling or customer satisfaction. Sad to say, they can’t actually do hair.
