1 /5 swati singh: I recently visited HKR for a microdermabrasion facial after being frequently recommended the service by Amandeep during my regular eyebrow threading appointments. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.
I had an appointment booked for 1 PM, but upon arrival, I was made to wait for 20 minutes as the beautician was still attending to another client. While minor delays are understandable, the overall service that followed was disappointing.
During the facial, instead of using the standard diamond-tip microdermabrasion tool for exfoliation, the beautician used a conventional scrub with excessive pressure, making the experience quite uncomfortable. When I inquired about the microdermabrasion, I was told it would be done at the end of the facial, which is not the usual practice. At that point, I decided to opt out of it and requested a deep cleansing treatment instead.
Another concerning aspect was the lack of a proper facial massage. Typically, after exfoliation, a soothing massage with a massage cream is expected. However, Amandeep skipped this step and directly applied a mask. She then left the room for a long period, during which I could hear her engaged in a conversation with another customer regarding a service issue. When she finally returned, she removed the mask, applied toner and moisturizer in under two minutes and said it’s done.
Overall, the experience felt unprofessional and rushed, lacking the relaxation and care expected from a facial treatment. My skin after the treatment felt dull and damaged which is contrary to usual. I hope the salon takes customer feedback seriously and improves the quality and professionalism of its services.
