5 /5 Kimberley Nicol: I’ve been a client of Howa and the team for a while now, and I can honestly say HK Hammam is exceptional. The staff are always polite, friendly, and truly attentive. Every product they use is carefully chosen to make sure each client is well looked after. The décor and atmosphere are peaceful and serene, and the level of care you receive is unmatched. It’s an all-round top-notch place. If I could give it 6 stars, I absolutely would!

If this is how you address negative feedback in public, I dread what goes on behind closed doors and we are glad we did not place our care in your hands. Yes, you are right, no treatment was carried out because we left after seeing how dirty everything was. No, we did not ask for a discount, we did ask the charge be reversed seeing as we were ushered into the cramped changing rooms thirty minutes after our allotted start time, with the dirty slippers. Regardless Ive posted the email you sent despite claiming we raised "no formal complaint" and a copy of your original review in case you decide to retroactively change your words. ---- Original Review: To say we were disappointed is an understatement. This review is being written after 2 months as we had scrubbed the memory from our minds after we deliberated on the "complimentary treatment of your choice". Given the state of the place I would not trust their appearance of cleanliness and do not recommend anyone go, if you care for your hygiene, that is. Anyway to put it simply the following happened: 1. We were seen much later than our appointment time because of another client, which rubbed us the wrong way as we did not see anyone leave when we were ushered in. 2. Their window cleaning happened right as we were sitting in the lounge (attached below). 3. We were not offered any snacks or tea, despite this being advertised as part of their service. 4. We were given a cramped staff changing room with non-functioning locks. 5. We were given damp and supposedly "clean" towels. 6. To top it all off, we were given the dirtiest slippers weve ever seen (also attached below). 7. And when we brought this up to the team, we were told they had to wait for the manager to approve a refund. I suspect the reason for the glowing reviews is whenever there is an issue they offer some sort of complimentary treatment, but unfortunately given the state of the place I would not come here even for free.

5 /5 Masud: I had an absolutely incredible visit to HK Hammam — a solid 5-star experience The moment I stepped inside, the atmosphere felt calm, pristine, and genuinely welcoming. The staff were not only friendly but extremely knowledgeable, taking the time to explain how everything worked and checking in with me throughout the whole process to make sure I was comfortable and enjoying myself. The steam room was spotless and perfectly heated, and the exfoliating scrub was honestly transformative — I walked out feeling lighter and completely refreshed. The massage that followed was exceptional, easing every bit of tension I’d been carrying. You can really tell they pay attention to the small things: perfectly warmed towels, gentle background music, soft lighting, and a very serene ambiance that makes you forget the outside world. By the time I left, my skin felt unbelievably soft, my shoulders were loose and relaxed, and my mind felt completely reset. I’d recommend HK Hammam to anyone who wants to truly unwind, recharge, and treat themselves to a high-quality experience. I’ll 100% be returning!
