1 /5 Zara Mahmood: I had a really frustrating experience at EyelashBar and unfortunately wouldn’t recommend them. My lashes started falling out just a few days after getting them done — way sooner than what’s normal. When I reached out to raise this politely, I wasn’t met with understanding or help, but with a dismissive and condescending attitude from the manager.
Instead of considering that something might’ve gone wrong with the application, they immediately blamed “natural shedding” and the fact that I had gone on holiday — despite the fact that I’ve had lashes done in hotter places before and never had this issue. They also mentioned a 3-day policy, and offered a touch-up for £30. It honestly felt more like they were trying to charge me again than actually fix the problem.
I also explained that the lash tech (Ola) didn’t seem confident during the appointment — she kept checking with another staff member, which made me feel uneasy at the time. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, but in hindsight, I probably shouldn’t have. When I brought this up, they brushed it off by saying she’s been doing lashes for years and that all their girls check with senior techs. Fair enough, but if someone needs that much help during a service, they probably shouldn’t be charging full price.
What really pushed me to write this review though was the way the manager handled my feedback. When I explained that the retention was really poor and that I wasn’t happy with the service, the response I got was, “what didn’t make it great bbe, you walked out happy with your lashes.” That response honestly shocked me. It felt dismissive, and completely missed the point — the issue was how quickly the lashes fell out, not how they looked when I left.
Throughout the entire conversation, the tone was too casual and unprofessional. There was no accountability, no genuine apology, and no real solution offered.
If you care about your money, time, and being treated with basic respect as a customer, I’d recommend going somewhere else. There are plenty of lash places out there that take feedback seriously and actually value their clients. Unfortunately, this isn’t one of them
