1 /5 Irene P: I’m sharing my personal experience in the hope that it might help someone avoid the disappointment and wasted money I went through. The salon itself looks new and very clean, and the staff were friendly — I have no complaints in that regard. However, the actual service I received was extremely poor.
I had booked a gel manicure (note: their website does not mention any extra charges for long nails), but midway through the appointment, the nail technician informed me she was doing BIAB and that there would be an additional charge. I let it go, thinking perhaps I misunderstood — and I don’t mind paying more if the quality is there. Unfortunately, it wasn’t.
The technician filed my natural nails so aggressively that it hurt when curing under the lamp. I asked her to be more gentle because it was painful, but she didn’t seem to understand or adjust. In the end, my natural nails were filed so thin that they now bended easily before the product was applied — completely unacceptable.
As for the shape, I requested something neat and simple. Instead, each nail is a different shape and length — and many of them are crooked. Despite heavy over-filing, remnants of the previous white French tips are still visible, and the solid color she applied is so thin that I can actually see the tips of my own nails showing through. It feels like product is being rationed — there was definitely no second coat.
I paid £58 for this, and it’s just incredibly disappointing. I’m not asking for a refund, I don’t want the work corrected, and I don’t wish to be contacted. I’m leaving this review (with photos) purely because if I had seen an honest one like this beforehand, I would have never booked.
P.S. I’ve attached a pic of the French manicure I had done at another salon just before this appointment, so you can see the difference between a proper manicure and whatever this was.
