4 /5 Lucy Vaughan: I’ve been coming to this salon since it first opened. While I’m not a regular, I’ve always had great experiences in the past — and I want to acknowledge that first.
Unfortunately, my most recent visit was a little disappointing. I had an appointment just over a week ago that included tinting. I’ve had both my brows and lashes tinted here before and have previously completed patch tests. I booked this appointment a few days in advance, but when I arrived, I was told the tinting couldn’t go ahead because my patch test was out of date.
I completely understand and appreciate the importance of patch testing — that isn’t the issue. My frustration was with the lack of communication beforehand. I wasn’t contacted by phone, text, or email to let me know that a new patch test was required, even though I’d already paid a large deposit for my appointment.
The team did reschedule the tinting straight away (for Thursday 30th), which I appreciated. However, when I returned for the rescheduled appointment, I received both a reminder text and a confirmation call saying it was at 7:00 p.m., but the receptionist said it was actually booked online for 7:15 p.m. It was a small mix-up, but a little frustrating after already having to rearrange my visit.
By the time of my second appointment, my eyebrows and lip had also grown back, which was disappointing as I feel the treatments should last longer than a week considering the cost.
That said, Liz, who looked after me during my second appointment, was absolutely lovely and very professional — I was really happy with her service.
Overall, I’ve had great experiences here before and will continue to use but I hope the salon improves communication around appointments and patch test requirements going forward.
