2 /5 Jey V: I love BLOK and my review is in hope of some policies to hopefully change. I have been booking classes for about 2 years and tried them all. Fantastic instructors. Not ideal showers and towel ÂŁ1, I can live with that.
What I cannot tolerate anymore is the amount of people popping sick to classes. I can bet I even got a fungal nail here (I know). I shared this feedback and their response is “we cannot control people booking ill”. But then I realised other reviewers noticed that the rigid cancellation policy may be to blame.
ClassPass and BLOK are the same type of business model, perhaps they should have something like “3 cancellations / year” policy. If you get sick or issues more than 3 / year you may be better out the membership.
Considering most classes are female based and many pregnant gals, plus super dirty mats, is just irresponsible.
If you have any health situation that requires extra care, you could easily get bacterial/fungal infections just from the dirty mats (again, left to people to “spray” them as they go). Plus the ones coming over with a flu from hell.
I have decided to move to another place that has classes for members only so …I assume no cancellation craziness as we are all charged a flat rate no matter what.
