We recommend a Christmas stay over at this hotel.

3 /5 Emily Townsend: This hotel is nice enough but for the price per night, definitely not worth it. The staff are really good & attentive, & the rooms were spotless (& very comfortable) but the hotel itself is in dire need of investment. There was a leaky tap in our bathroom & the toilet needed a lot of encouragement to flush. The decor throughout the hotel is very tired & the jacuzzi has not been working for some time (very disappointing for a spa hotel). The bar did not even have straws or stirrers which meant my Disaronno & coke was in fact a watery coke with some Disaronno at the bottom (delightful for over ÂŁ7!). It feels very much like the staff are dealing with very difficult circumstances & a lack of investment.
The food is perfectly acceptable hotel food but nothing very special. We were served beef with no horseradish which was a bit weird & the portion sizes certainly weren’t the largest but it was fine. The service was great however & the staff were lovely.
There is a very large Sainsburys within walking distance which is very useful & great links to the motorway.

Staff are super friendly and always happy to help.
Rooms are a good size for UK, beds comfortable and bathrooms are recently refurbished by looks of them.
Spa area is really good with a pool, hot tub, sauna, warm beds and steam room.
Gym is well looked after with enough cardio and weights machines so dont wait. Plus some good tunes!
4 /5 Dagmar Law: Stayed in this hotel for the first time. The room was really nice and so was breakfast. Staff at reception very nice. That was the positive.
The negatives were: As we had an early start I asked at reception whether we could have a breakfast to take away. Unfortunately they stopped doing it. We had an evening meal there. A 250ml glass of wine: ÂŁ9.45!!
I wanted to have a massage. The price for a 50 minute back massage: ÂŁ85. 3 days prior I paid ÂŁ75 for a 60 minute massage. Unfortunately I decided not to have a massage after all.
All in all we still enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would return.
3 /5 ThatCOVguy: This would have had a five star if the bar/waiting staff wasn’t so rude. I walked to the bar and got ignored for 5 mins while they talked to each other. Then when one of the staff members approached me, the bar manager (short guy with black hair) came over and called the staff member away while he berated the girl in front of me.
They then got my food order wrong but didn’t seem interested when I told them.
The restaurant staff (main restaurant) were great on the 2nd night and the food was much better.
Rooms were comfortable and was a nice stay otherwise
Julie Northfield Alison always manages to make her classes fun and motivating with just the right amount of challenge. My fitness and strength has definitely improved since attending Alison’s sessions and I really look forward to the class. Give it a go, you won’t regret it.
Basar Kizildere I’ve lost so much weight and toned up, I don’t even need the gym anymore. I just follow Coach Yaman’s plan and it works incredibly well.
Tilly Hill Great gym. A huge range of gym equipment from typical free weights and machines to strongman equipment. Plus a good cardio machine variety. Very Affordable day price and owners really friendly. Has a lovely community feel without feeling cliquey. Love visiting when I am down to see the mother in law.
