3 /5 Rhi Sanders: - staff were very rude, dismissive and really rough with my hands
- owner called me mid appointment to tell me my appointment was at another time (she got her shops confused and confused me in the process)
- owner then showed up half way through my appointment and asked if she could reschedule me on the app and I can cancel to get a refund then I could pay in cash on the day so she keeps 100% of the profit (very tacky request that made me feel awkward but I agreed, refund took almost 2 weeks)
- was promised they could do the design I asked for, spent half an hour trying until she gave up knowing I was on a time limit and I had specifically asked if she could do this design and was promised yes. These nails were for an event.
- no other nail tech was available so I had to rethink the design to something basic she could do and leave as I was out of time.
- I told them I couldn’t be longer than 2 hours, as I had a train to catch, I was reassured 1 hour would be enough, I was sat waiting for so long I had to tell them I needed to leave multiple times before they quickly finished off my nails
I normally pay £45 for a full acrylic and nail design locally. We recently moved so I tried this place…
Took me 2 hours, cost me over £100 on the day (I got half back 2 weeks later from the cancelled appointment on the app) but all to get a design I didn’t even want, there was no discount or apology. The whole experience was just low quality. Don’t over promise then under deliver, and don’t ask your brand new customers to help you out financially. Perhaps once you’ve developed a report with regulars you could ask them to book or pay a certain way but this was my first impression and it was unfortunately very tacky, and quite exhausting as a customer.
3 stars because I think all these issues are resolvable. The place is in a great location, it was clean, they had nice decor. The nail artists just need some more technical training and everyone (especially the owner) needs some more customer care training and hopefully the quality of the experience will improve from there.
Photos are what I wanted vs what I got. Not even close, sadly.
